I started my travel Instagram (@bookmoretravels) in May of 2024. And while my insta content focuses on more bookish and nyc- I wanted another space to share all the fun places I go to!
My family spends a week in Vegas most years- it’s not all about the drinking and the gambling either! There are world class shows and experiences that are fun for all ages, plus fun pool days. This trip I wanted to explore all the local bookstores in and around Vegas. So read on for more!

A friendly neighborhood staple with new and used books for purchase.

The Vegas outpost for this reputable antiquarian bookseller. They are well known for rare, first edition, signed and other collectable books in great condition.
Buffy's Book Boutique | 3585 S Durango Dr #103, Las Vegas, NV 89147
New and used titles for sale along with collectables and lego sets. The shop dog (Buffy!) sometimes hangs out there to greet guests!

This off the beaten path bookstore is a used book treasure trove. The amount of mass markets they had to look through was insane!

This bookstore and cafe has a unique twist- it is also a faux bird sanctuary! Along with buying books and stationery you can adopt a bird with their own unique backstory!

Las Vegas’s romance bookstore! It’s very spacious with a lot of books to look through.
Where to Eat (my favorites!)
Battista's Hole in the Wall | 4041 Linq Ln, Las Vegas, NV 89109
Classic Italian spot that has been a staple of Vegas. They have an all-inclusive three course meal (bread service, soup or salad, and main course served with unlimited house wine and a cappuccino at the end) for $30-$50 depending on your entree. You really can’t beat that!
Hash House A Go Go at The LINQ | 3535 Las Vegas Blvd S, Las Vegas, NV 89109
This spot is a staple for my family with their extra large portions and friendly atmosphere. Their banana latte is one of my favorites!
Tacos El Gordo | Three Locations
I am a bit of a taco connoisseur, so when my Uncle recommend this spot I knew I had to try it! Classic style tacos in a relaxed spot. They are above and beyond in taste. Make sure to try their loaded fries too!
Fun Spots (that aren’t gambling or clubbing!)
The Mob Museum | 300 Stewart Ave, Las Vegas, NV 89101
What used to be the courthouse where mobsters were tried on national television is now an interactive museum of organized crime and law enforcement. The exhibits are thoughtfully put together and it’s such an interesting chapter of Las Vegas history!
Check out their basement for a hidden speakeasy and distillery with fun drinks!
Meow Wolf Las Vegas' Omega Mart | 3215 Rancho Dr #100, Las Vegas, NV 89102
This grocery store is more then what it seems- check out the hidden world in this interactive art instillation! The whole Area 15 is a fun place to explore with so much to do!
Pinball Hall of Fame | 4925 Las Vegas Blvd S, Las Vegas, NV 89119
This is a museum of pinball machines- some as old as the 50s! All working and interactive. Bring some cash and quarters and spend some time playing all the cool games- the proceeds go to charity!
Where to Grab a Drink
Horror Vibes Coffee | 4480 Paradise Rd #300, Las Vegas, NV 89169
I’m not a horror lover- but I love a theme. And this place goes all in. From the decor to the drinks, this horror themed cafe is a fun spot to visit.
The Golden Tiki | 3939 Spring Mountain Rd, Las Vegas, NV 89102
While nondescript on the outside- this lush tiki bar is such a fun place to grab a drink. I especially loved their cocktail flight so you can try a small portion of all the classic tiki drinks!
