A Bookish and Foodie Guide to Flushing, Queens
After visiting Flushing twice this summer I wanted to share this bookish guide- local bookstores, yummy eats, points of interest and more!

A small bookstore in East Flushing that primarily has books in Korean and other K Pop items. It may be small but it has a great selection!
Eglance Bookstore 一格文创书店 | 133-47 41st Ave, Flushing, NY 11355
Right in the central part of Flushing this bookstore has a large variety of stationery and other items in the front. Head to the back for their selection of books (mostly in Chinese!)

Yummy pastries made right in front of you! It is their first store in North America so the line can be long but it moves fast. Their egg tarts are to die for!

This little stall makes one of the best sandwiches I have ever had in NYC. It’s shaved chicken from a spit mixed with lettuce and onions and stuffed into a fluffy biscuit-like bun. So yum!

It may look like just a flower shop- but they sell yummy dessert style tofu and other snacks!

I loved this coffee shop so much I went every day! I tried a new drink and every time it was delicious. I will have to go back and try their cocktails at some point too!

24 hour diner with great prices and yummy noodles! Their Big Bowl of Noodles lives up to the name.

One of the earliest homes in the area and now a museum!
Lewis Latimer House | 34-41 137th St, Flushing, NY 11354
A house museum in the former home of the famed African American inventor.
Queens Botanical Garden | Visitors & Administration Building, 43-50 Main St, Flushing, NY 11355
Planted and expanded for two World’s Fairs, it’s a great place to walk around and see what is in bloom!
Queens Historical Society | 143-35 37th Ave, Flushing, NY 11354
A small but informative museum. Make sure to check out the Weeping Beech in the backyard, it’s the first living thing to be granted landmark status.
Queens Night Market
Open air night market with over a hundred vendors. It’s a fun night sampling a variety of foods and hanging out!
Queens Museum | Flushing Meadows Corona Park, Building, Corona, NY 11368
A pay-what-you-can museum whose crown jewel is a building-by-building model of New York City that debuted at the World’s Fair.
USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center | Flushing Meadows Corona Park, Flushing, NY 11368
The world famous spot for tennis including the annual US Open. You can visit for free and see matches and practices during Fan Week the week before the open starts!

Not just shopping- it has a fantastic food court with a variety of yummy and affordable options.

A multi story mall with plenty of shopping. Make sure to check out their food court too!
88 Vemax Beauty Spa 唯美丝 | 35-27 Farrington St, Flushing, NY 11354
An affordable head spa that is still great quality- I tried their two hour combo and had an amazing time!
