Three Days Exploring Oklahoma
If you are looking for a three day trip to get a little taste of Oklahoma City and Tulsa, then this guide is for you! We had so much fun on our visit back in 2021 and I still think about a follow up visit someday!
Thumbs up from a 2021 trip!
Day 1 (Bricktown and Downtown)
Walk through the Myriad Botanical Gardens
This oasis in the middle of the city is beautiful to walk around, look at some fish, or watch an event!
If you want to beat the heat, you can pay extra to walk through Crystal Bridge Tropical Conservatory which I highly recommend. It was beautiful!
Have lunch at Kitchen No 324
A beautiful building and amazing brunch food! Great!
I tried their signature cocktail at the time which was delicious and so cute!
Oklahoma City National Memorial
A memorial recognizing the victims of the deadliest domestic terrorist attack in America
Beautifully laid out and a place for reflection and solace
Bricktown Water Taxi
While it is on the touristy side, it makes you feel like you’re in the Venice of Oklahoma! They will take you through the entire system and you can look for where you want to eat along the waterfront dining options!
The Jones Assembly for dinner
Their bread service was one of the best I have every had in my life, and the drinks were great too!
Prairie Artisan Ales is the place where you can find the best beers in the world!
I still dream about their Rainbow Sherbet Ale and I usually hate beer. It really does taste and smell like rainbow sherbet! And they have a carousel of unique flavors to try!
Day 2 (Museums and Midtown)
Walk through the OKC Underground
Did you know there are a series of underground tunnels and skywalks connecting the downtown city?
It is a great way to beat the heat or escape from the snow while walking through the city! There are also art installations and other things to see
You can take it to see The Oklahoma City Museum of Art
My favorites were all the blown glass exhibits!
Also take the Streetcar system to Midtown!
Find the cutest gifts at Plenty Mercantile
Great cup of coffee can be found at Elemental Coffee
Barkeep Supply is a great place to buy unique bar supplies and also has a cocktail bar to sample some of their supplies!
The Collective was one of the nicest food halls I have been to in the country
Do you want to try classic cocktails at a great place with classic dive bar vibes? Braden and I had a blast trying (maybe one too many) cocktails at R and J Supper Club
Day 3 (Road Trip to Tulsa)
Visit the Center of the Universe for an interesting audio phenomenon in downtown Tulsa!
To get a great cup of coffee try the Chimera Cafe for coffee and food!
Spend the afternoon at the Gathering Place
It boasts 66.5 acres of things to explore! With donations totaling over $100 million there is so much to see and do.
While most of it is geared towards families and kids, Braden and I found a lot to do!
The Cabinet of Wonder holds so many curiosities to explore!
We had the most amazing Italian ice (for only $2!!) at The Rosebud Cafe
For Dinner eat at Fassler Hall for a German food hall style dinner (they also have a great brunch!)
