Notting Hill- A Perfect Afternoon for a Reader in London

One of my favorite afternoon’s on my last visit to London was spending time in Notting Hill. With six unique bookstores, the prettiest pastel buildings, fun shopping and a romcom movie tie in this neighborhood has everything!

How to Get There

Take the Tube to Notting Hill Gate Station (the central, circle, and district line all stop there!)

Where to Start

Pop in to Notting Hill Book & Comic Exchange for a selection of second hand comics and books (mostly sci/fi and fantasy titles!)

Before trying a scone at Cheeky Scone. While they have a so many varieties of scones I opted for the traditional plan scone with clotted cream and raspberry jam.

A yummy scone with clotted cream and raspberry jam from Cheeky Scone!

Walk (and shop) down Portobello Road

The pastel houses of Portobello Road might be one of the prettiest streets in London. Especially during my visit in the spring when everything is in bloom!

As you walk down the street stop at Farm Girl for their famous rose lattes (made with real rose water).

There are so many places to shop and explore on this street so take your time! Especially when the weather is nice you can check out the open air market as well!
